Review of the 2008 HKPCA Show

The 2008 International Printed Circuit and Electronics Assembly Fair jointly organized by Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association Ltd (HKPCA), IPC and China Committee for Promotion of International Trade – Guangzhou (CCPIT-GZ) at Shenzhen Exhibition & Convention Centre has come to a successful close.

Although the PCB and Electronics Assembly trade in China experienced continuous growth in the past years, today it is up against challenges in this current global financial tsunami.
Businesses fell across all trades amid this economic crisis, first to be affected are those high tech electronics luxury goods. Nothing is spared from this economic devastation, from equipment/ raw material/ spare parts/ property to consumer products were significantly affected – the sudden drop in demand had caused supplies to pile up. The slump in PCB sales has affected the demand of PCB manufacturing equipment.
During the HKPCA show, World Wide Group took up 16 booths to showcase its products, the primary focus was to promote the PCB equipment which is widely use with a stable demand for HDI purpose, i.e. the “Mitsubishi” laser drilling machine and the “Screen” direct imaging system. To compliment the business, the team has put together more creative packages with solutions to meet different opportunities. Despite the drop in visitors as compared with the last show, there’s still continuous flow of genuine customers with great potentials making enquiries.　　　

This new economic crisis has hit all trades and professions, World Wide Group has made rapid changes and adopts a series of innovative strategies, of which it will help the group to secure more business during this recession. To further enhance its competitiveness, it will optimize the use of resources in various divisions, i.e. purchasing, finance, production, logistics, technology innovation, maintenance, and spare parts.
