由07年下半年至今, 隨著美國經濟蕭條至國際金融地位受挫, 美元持續下滑, 人民幣、歐元、英鎊及日元等主要貨幣急連攀升, 中國線路板廠尤其是港資企業面對更嚴峻的考驗。 生產成本在原材料不斷上揚, 新勞動合同法的壓力下, 人民幣的持續升值可謂百上加斤。各大線路板廠不再墨守成規於大量生產的2/4/6/8層板,而是積極求變於高價值的多層板及HDI板等高科技產品, 以爭取利潤空間。 此趨勢正面迎合了本集團的營銷設備。

集團在一年一度的CPCA展展示了5台先進電路板設備, 包括 日本Mitsubishi的雙面台鐳射鑽孔機,　瑞士Posalux的數控鑽孔機, 瑞士 First EIE光繪機, 日本 Screen的DI 直接成像系統及新推出的DR精密自動測長機。DR機是應用於測量線路板、菲林或網板, 可測量最小線寬5um及擁有0.9um的重複精度, 並可選擇不同光源及裝置, 量測面線及線底的寬度, 此為行業內一個突破性的技術。 一系列的尖端機種為迎合各大中型線路板廠家對各類精密線路板及高端技術的需求而推出, 亦促使集團在環球經濟效益遜色的一年內營業額仍節節上揚。
現場所聞, 來訪者多為線路板廠的高級管理層, 查詢絡繹不絕, 對集團推出的先進機種表示相當的興趣。 與此同時, 簡單而隆重的祝酒儀式亦隨之而起, 以慶祝近期成功爭取到二大線路板廠的大額訂單。

展會期間, 集團主席蔡維洲先生獲邀美國電路板行業雜誌Mr. Ray Rasmussen現場採訪, 演述2008年的市場展望及線路板行業的發展趨勢。

隨著CPCA展的落幕, 由環球與HKPCA協辦之 “直接成像技術 (DI Technology)” 將於5月揭開序幕, 致力於研討DI的最新技術及應用。

Review of 2008 CPCA exhibition
The slow down in the US economy from 2nd half of 2007 had caused a setback in the global financial status. With the US dollar continues to slide, renminbi/ euro/pound/yan and other major currencies raises with irresistible force, a variety of challenges has emerged on Mainland China PCB shops especially those investors from Hong Kong. They are faced with new stringent labor laws, raising cost of raw material and the appreciation of the renminbi, all this factors have posed to be their toughest challenge. Major PCB manufacturers are switching their focus to HDI and high tech products in order to strife for better profit instead of staying on the conventional 2/4/6/8 layer boards. This tendency has in fact created a favor for the group’s equipment business.

The group has exhibited 5 advanced PCB manufacturing equipment in this year’s CPCA show, it includes Mitsubishi CO2 laser drilling machine from Japan, Posalux CNC drilling machine from Switzerland, First EIE photoplotter from Switzerland, SCREEN Direct Imaging System (DI) from Japan and also Digital Precision Measuring Device (DR) which a new product and is used for auto precision measuring of PCBs, film and stainless steel. It can measure the smallest line width of 5um and has a 0.9um of repeated precision; it also offers different choices of light source and has a range of attachments to add on. It is capable of measuring the width on the top and bottom of the line and this is obviously a new break through in PCB equipment technology. This range of high end equipment is most suitable for large and medium PCB manufacturers especially when they need to produce high precision and high technology PCBs. In fact, despite the sluggish economy World Wide group actually saw a successively increase in equipment sales. Visitors who came to the show majority were top management positions from reputed PCB manufacturers, it has also generated enormous enquiries and this shows that our product line on display are certainly attracting the interest of the buyers. At the same time, a simple yet impressive celebration was held to mark the recent success in clinching big orders from two major PCB manufacturers.

During the exhibition, World Wide group president Mr. Francis Tsoi was invited to attend an interview conducted by US PCB media publisher, during the interview Mr. Rasmussen ask Mr. Tsoi to share his view on the market developments, trends and outlook for the PCB industry in 2008.

After the exhibition, come May ‘08 this year World Wide and HKPCA will jointly organized a seminar to promote Direct Imaging Technology , the seminar will touch on the latest technology in DI Technology and its applications.
